Meeting Reports: Report and Photo's By Colin Casserley.

Northampton: 12th April

James Neachell (322) survived a last bend attack from Matt Newson (16) to score his first final win of the 2008 season.
Danny Wainman (212) led the early laps of the final on a track still wet from an early rain shower until a yellow flag negated his lead, on the ensuing restart Neachell wasted no time in getting to the front and opened up a straightaway lead, but as the track began to dry out Mat Newson began to close in. With five laps to go Newson was on Neachell’s back bumper and seemingly waiting his time to pounce. As the duo took the one to go signal Neachell opened up a slight gap but on the final turn Newson made his move slamming into the Neachell machine, Neachell managed to hold on but Newson spun out of the race on the slippery stuff just off the racing line.
Paul Hines(259) inherited second place after Chris Cowley (37) failed post race weigh-in.
