Latest News:

The BSCDA would just like to keep people informed that Driver Mark Peters (231) is currently in hospital undergoing checks on his back, after an accident at Kings Lynn on Saturday 26/07/2008. As soon as we have any further news on Marks condition we will let you know.

The BSCDA would like to Thank Paul Butler, his Track staff and all the medical team based at Kings Lynn stadium for their professionalism, in helping Mark out of his car in the safest way possible.

We would also like to that Paul and his team for an all round good Semi Final meeting, considering the weather, the track conditions were very good for such a warm evening.

The BSCDA would like to publicly Thank, Everyone Incarace, and especially Mr. Deane Wood for the use of their Northampton track and facilities, and also for all their assistance, during the recent tyre testing.

We Had a very productive day, gaining lots of information. None of which would have been achieved without Mr. Woods and Mr. Gerrards assistance.

The BSCDA would like to publicly Thank, Everyone at Coventry Stadium, and especially Mr. Jeremy Heaver for the use of their track and facilities, and also for all their assistance, during the recent tyre testing.

We Had a very productive day, gaining lots of information. None of which would have been achieved without Mr. Heaver's assistance.

2008 Season Results
The vast majority of the results from the 2008 season can be found on the Mylaps website.

Important Notes
Technical Scrutineering of New Cars - Following a period of latitude regarding this issue the F1 Management Board, backed by the committee, have now decided
to enforce the rule.
All new cars must be subject to technical scrutineering before racing, there will be no exceptions. The correct procedure is contained within
the rules book and if you are unsure contact a member of the committee.

Starts - At the recent Board meeting, following a complaint from a senior steward the board took the view that there is a problem. With immediate effect the
front two drives of each grade are responsible for setting the gap and the rolling start. Too big a gap or too small a gap and you will be penalised. Stewards & Marshals will be given support to penalise - also drivers pushing from the back of the grade will be penalised. To clarify the way it should be, at all meetings,
except WCQR and specially sanctioned events,
there should be a gap of no more than four car lengths. At WCQR this is reduced to two car lengths. Finally
allow the starter to start the race and not the drivers.

Transponders - There are still one or two problems. Firstly some drivers are forgetting to put transponders on, no transponder could lead you to to being
excluded from the result. Secondly and this appears to be a shale problem, some are positioned either too high or become obstructed by dirt guards. The
system operators and Conrad will advise you - and listen because again you could be omitted from the results and where doubt exists the result will stand.
